Register Now for Early Start Personnel Development Online Winter Session!
The California Department of Developmental Services, California Department of Education, and WestEd Center for Prevention and Early Intervention offer expanded, accessible and convenient online and in-person training. Information about the entire series of activities offered under the Early Start Personnel Development System may be found in the ESPDflyer2012.
This winter, the Early Start Online courses are offered once again in a ten-week session. A new lesson will open every two weeks. Winter Session courses open on January 14 and close on March 22. The Foundations may be taken in any order or concurrently; there are no prerequisites for registration.

Already completed the Foundations series? The Foundations Institute will be open to personnel who have completed all three Foundations Online courses. Only personnel who complete all three Foundations courses will be eligible to register to attend the Foundations Institute which will be offered for the first time in Sacramento in June 2013.The Institute builds on the learning attained in the Early Start Online Foundations Series through live, collaborative practice and problem-solving.
Spring Session (April 2013) will mark the debut of the Skill Base Online Series. Skill Base courses provide content on supporting development within specific developmental domains for children with specific disability conditions. The first Skill Base course focuses on social and emotional development. Watch for Spring Session registration March 4, 2013.
