CSHA Convention

The annual CSHA state convention will be held March 27-30, 2014 at the Hilton Union Square in San Francisco, CA. This will include 24 continuing education hours, commercial exhibits, and the always popular job fair.

Helen Sherman Wade will be heading up a group from SLEA and Shellie Bader will be presenting the following CEU Course on Saturday March 28th.

With excellent restaurants, plenty of activities, and shopping in the Union Square district of San Francisco, the convention promises to be a weekend full of fun with colleagues and friends while continuing our education with new research and best practice in our profession from top notch presenters.


CalABA 32nd Annual Regional Conference

Helen Wade and Anthony Jenkins will be representing SLEA at the San Francisco Conference. They will be giving the following workshop on Sun., Mar. 2, 2014  from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Incorporating Behavior Analysis in a Developmental Evaluation
In a complete and in-depth assessment of Special Needs individuals, it is imperative to include several professional backgrounds in the assessment process. This advanced level presentation will discuss the contributing role of the behavior analyst in a complete assessment. The focus will be the behavioral component as it impacts every aspect of cognitive, adaptive, linguistic, and social behavior. Specific guidelines for the behaviorist will be described and delineated.

Participants will learn to apply behavior analysis principles to a fully integrated developmental evaluation.
